Parent Participation: Building Community Together

At the heart of TOPS is a strong sense of community and the belief that children thrive when families and teachers work together. Parents participate in the classroom an average of once a month— 10-12 times throughout the school year—creating meaningful connections that enrich the learning experience for everyone. When parents are present in the classroom, children see their home and school worlds unite, which strengthens their sense of security and belonging. Parent participation allows you to witness your child's growth firsthand, understand our educational approach, build relationships with other families, and contribute your unique talents and perspectives to our community. These regular classroom visits create a vibrant, collaborative environment where children learn that their families and teachers are partners in their journey, fostering the strong family-school connection that is essential to our program's success.
